Born on August 18, 1988 in Sarajevo, SFRY, modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. Graduated from Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo in 2011. Earned his LLM degree at Faculty of Law, Belgrade University in 2013 with thesis titled User Charges in Serbia. Defended his doctoral thesis titled Public Finance Law Aspects of Public Good Management at Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade in 2021 (Department for Public Finances and Financial Law). Has worked at the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo since 2012. Lectures at bachelor / undergraduate and master courses in Public Finance and General Financial Law, Special Public Finance Law, and Tax Law. He also teaches Environmental Law (Legal Aspects in Environment) course at the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of East Sarajevo.
In addition to teaching, he performs numerous tasks and jobs at the Faculty of Law and University of East Sarajevo. He was elected a member of the Management Board of the University of East Sarajevo, as one of the representatives of academic staff, from 2021 to 2025. He was co-editor of the Collection of Papers, for the XII and XIII Scientific Conference on the Occasion of the Day of the Faculty of Law, published in 2024 and 2025. He is the editor of the Bulletin of the Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo. Elected for a member of several organizational boards at the Faculty of Law for the organization of scientific conferences and the celebration of the Day and Krsna Slava of the Faculty of Law. He had been the Secretary of the Department of Legal and Economic Sciences of the Faculty of Law in the 2012-2015 period. He is a member of the Library Committee of the Faculty of Law since 2019, and is a long-term member of the Team for the Promotion of the Faculty of Law. During 2024 and 2025, he was a deputy coordinator for international cooperation at the Faculty of Law, and during 2021 and 2022, he had been a deputy coordinator for quality assurance at the Faculty of Law. He was appointed the coordinator for the implementation of the Framework Agreement on understanding for practical classes and training for law students, at the Faculty of Law, and organized, in that capacity, numerous judiciary cooperation and students’ internship events in the Republic of Srpska. He has participated in the development of the Faculty of Law Development Action Plan. He participated in the work of the Working Group for increasing the Visibility of the University of East Sarajevo, during 2018. He is member of management of orators club at the Faculty of Law. He has participated in the development and administration of official website and social networks for the Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Education, Science and Culture Union of the Republic of Srpska, and union organization of the Faculty of Law East Sarajevo. He was a president or a member of several election commissions for the direct elections of members of the Student Parliament at the University of East Sarajevo and the student members of the Council of the Faculty of Law.
Professor Marilović has participated in domestic and international projects, expert teams, trainings, schools, workshops and other activities, organised by renowned domestic and international institutions, such as the Government of the Republic of Srpska, UNDP, UN Women, faculties of law in the region, Republic Pedagogical Institute of the Republic of Srpska, Association of Psychologists of Republic of Srpska, numerous NGOs, as well as in professional and public hearings, discussions, legal drafting procedures etc. He has dozens of media appearances, many of which were thematic social and political TV and radio programs.
He authored or coauthored more than 30 academic papers, and presented his research at more than 30 scientific conferences. Fluent in English language. Has working knowledge of German and French language. He is a member of the Serbian Fiscal Society (Serbian IFA branch).
